Welcome!
I'm Jessie Brock, a digital artist, and this is online home of my portfolio.
I started out as a traditional artist--watercolor, pencil, acrylic paints, but
my love of computers
and technology pulled me in another direction. My first taste of "digital
art" was messing around
with Photoshop 2 and Bryce 3D in a Career Center computer lab. Paints that don't
smudge,
canvases that can't be damaged, taking back mistakes! I was enamored. I still
studied and
honed my traditional art skills, in the meanwhile teaching myself as many programs
as I could
get my hands on. Photoshop, Bryce, Maya, Flash, Premiere. When I got the chance
to go to a 3D art school, I learned about as many subsets
of 3D art as I could get away with:
Modeling, lighting, animation, texturing, digital film and post-production.
So step inside and take a look around!
Projects on the right here, features the production processes behind "Hunt", my senior project.
Digital Art showcases examples of my rendering, modeling, and texturing.
Fine Art contains 2D art pieces from both the traditional and digital worlds.
Sketchbook has various quick drawing and concept sketches.
Media contains movies of animatics and animations, as well as a live-action piece.
To my dear Firefox friends: my apologies for the top navigation
bar, it's not suppose to look like that!
Never fear, everything works fine--but I am working on finding a solution to
make this site beautiful
for all browsers.
